She joins Kapoor Barristers after clerking at the Superior Court of Justice.
Shirin completed her J.D. at Toronto Metropolitan University and holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in biology from the University of Toronto.
During law school, Shirin completed placements with Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services, the Ministry of the Solicitor General, and Windsor Law's Class Action Clinic. She was also an editor for the TMU Law Review and junior fellow at the Centre for Free Expression.
Shirin's approach to criminal law and advocacy is informed by her experience clerking at the Superior Court, where she engaged with a broad range of criminal matters and gained insight into the qualities of effective advocacy.
