Oliveigha J. Moulton

Oliveigha was called to the bar of Ontario in 2025.

She joins Kapoor Barristers following the completion of her articles at a prominent criminal defence boutique in Toronto. While articling, Oliveigha directly participated in several significant trial and appeal matters.  

Oliveigha earned her J.D. from the University of Ottawa’s Common Law Program, where she developed a strong foundation in criminal law. During law school, Oliveigha worked as a caseworker in the criminal law division of the University of Ottawa’s Legal Aid Clinic, advocating on behalf of vulnerable clients and gaining hands-on experience. 

In December 2024, her academic work was recognized in Thomson Reuters’ Journal of Constitutional Law, which published her paper titled, “The Risk of Using Artificial Intelligence in the Canadian Criminal Justice System.”  Her research highlights a growing interest in the real-world impact of technology on constitutional rights within the criminal justice system.

Oliveigha brings a thoughtful, client-focused approach to her practice and is committed to defending the rights of individuals facing criminal charges.
