Last summer, Kiellan worked at a criminal defence firm in London, Ontario.
Throughout law school, Kiellan was employed as a regional educator for British Columbia Schizophrenia Society. Her time in this work informs her dedicated and compassionate approach to criminal justice advocacy. She was also an active member of her law school community, namely, by taking on a research role at the 2024 Wilson Moot where her team placed third overall. She also completed an upper year research project on UNDRIP and sentencing in Canada under the supervision of Patricia Barkaskas.
Kiellan holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto where she graduated with high distinction, majoring in “Ethics, Society, and Law” and Criminology. During her undergraduate studies, she completed research for Communities, Alliances and Networks (CAAN) on the disproportionate impact of criminalizing HIV non-disclosure on Indigenous women.
